Dividend Income February 2021

Figured I'd start a regular feature on my little hobby portfolio which is mostly monthly dividend stocks.  It's going to be a slow start.  Starting back in December of 2020 I began with a lump sum and invested in monthly dividend paying stocks.  Each month I take the payout from my bond fund, which I had formerly reinvested there, and instead buy individual dividend paying stocks, primarily monthly payers.

I should caveat this by saying, if it's not obvious, that I'm not a financial professional and this is NOT financial advice.  It's a blog for entertainment and so I'll have a record for my future self (Hi, future self!).

If I somehow get questions from any readers I'll make an attempt to answer them, but this is primarily for myself as a record to guide my decisions down the road.  For now I'll just post a graph of January and February returns.  This will be dividends received only, not growth of the stock value.  Unless I decide otherwise, all dividends are immediately reinvested in the stock that produced them.  I'm not listing the stocks, but might if anyone expresses an interest in that sort of thing.  Starting in April, I'll make an attempt to post monthly updates.  Since I didn't think of it until now, the first post is two months.
